Pot-A-Doodle-Do nestles in green fields, five minutes from the beautiful and unspoilt Northumberland coastline. The centre is an oasis of creativity for all to enjoy. The Centre is fully accessible to meet the needs of wheelchair users and is easily reached by car, foot or bus.

Creative Art Centre
All our activities are designed for everyone of all ages and abilities to have a go - no previous experience is necessary. Our friendly staff are always on hand to help make sure your day is the best it can be, and to offer expert advice should you need it.

Throw A Pot
Create your own unique pot from raw clay. Be in charge of your creation from the Potter's Wheel through to decorating and glazing it.

Mosaics and Glass Painting
Make your own mosaic mirror or tile or choose from a wide selection of glassware and create your own lead designs and then finish them with 'glass' paints.

Figurines and Ornaments
Choose from a wide range of figurines and paint them with acrylic paints to give a colourful finish to your creation.

Take and Bake
There are many different types of fully glazed crockery to pick from - draw and paint your own design using our special paint. Take them home and bake them in the oven to finish the job off!!

The Orchard Restaurant
Take a break from your art activities and enjoy a relaxing time in our welcoming licensed restaurant. Fine wines and freshly prepared meals, coffees and teas are served all day. Pick from a wide range of home-baking and pastries - specially prepared every day. Something for everyone - be it a full meal or merely a snack to keep you going!

The Country Gift Shop
Whilst at the centre enjoy browsing through our food and gift shop. Here you will find a wide range of home baking. Everything from home-made fudge & biscuits to soups & savoury pies. Also taste and buy the speciality ice cream made on the estate. There is a wide range of gift-ware ideal for that perfect present - or simply treat yourself from a wide selection of country crafts.

Play Area
Let the children have a rest from their art project and enjoy some fresh air in the grass play area with swings. Totally enclosed and safe whilst the grown ups enjoy some quality time having a quiet coffee in the restaurant.

Country Walks
Come to Pot-A-Doodle-Do and use it as base to walk the surrounding countryside. Wonderful rural walks involving coastal and country scenery. All walks are designed to start and finish at the centre - so why not drop in and pick up an easy to read map of the walk of your choice.

Pony Trekking
Enjoy a pony ride on the Northumbrian Coast, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Tweed Estuary and Holy Island. Your trek will take you along quiet farmland and coastal tracks whilst enjoying the wildlife of the seaside and coastal nature reserve. All rides are under the supervision of our riding instructor.

Adult, family rides and children's rides can be catered for. From a lead rein round the paddock for small children to extensive ride outs. Every effort is made to match riders and horses to ensure an enjoyable day. Pony treks can be organised from hourly rides to spending a full equestrian day at the centre. - please phone for further information.

Fishing
Relax at our fishing lake and catch some trout for tea! The 2 acre lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout and fishing is designed to suit experienced and novice fishermen alike.

Fishing off platforms at the side of the lake ensures sure-footing for younger fishers. Experienced fishermen can use fly - the more inexperienced can fish with float and bait. Fishing tackle can be hired on the day and bait can be bought in the shop. Booking is advisable to ensure your tackle is ready and available on the day.

Groups
We welcome bookings from schools, clubs, residential houses, day centres and special needs groups. We are fully accessible for wheelchair users, and have a good sized car park.
