The Hide Hill Theatre



Opened in the 1920s, the Theatre in Hide Hill showed a mixture of cinema and variety shows. In the 1960s leading performers such as Shirley Bassie and Frankie Vaughan appeared at this theatre. It was the home for the Berwick Amateur Operatic Society from its earliest years.

Changing audience interests now mean the theatre is converted to Bingo and the foyer to an amusement arcade.
