Sir Launcelot and Queen Guinevere

Legend has it that it was at Bamburgh that Lancelot lived sinfully with Queen Guinevere. Sir Thomas Malory writing in 1470, says that those other famous adulterers Tristan and Isolda, also lived at Bamburgh, for three years.
