Art-Deco in Berwick

The Art-Deco style pioneered in Paris in the mid 1920s, survives on a couple of Berwick buildings. In the High Street the upper floor of Woolworth's preserves the Aztec inspired detail typical of the style. Across the River is a motor-show room from 1930s, with similar Mexican motifs above the doors.
